Analytics & cookies
Influensia uses one analytics product, Contentsquare, to understand how pages are actually used so we can fix what is confusing. This page says exactly what that involves and how to stop it. It covers analytics only. Everything else Influensia does with your data is in the Privacy Policy.
What is collected
Contentsquare records how the interface is used, not what you type into it. In practice that means:
- Pages visited, in what order, and how long each was open.
- Clicks, taps, scrolling and mouse movement within the page.
- Browser, operating system, screen size and approximate location derived from your IP address.
- A pseudonymous identifier stored in cookies beginning
_cs, so separate page views can be recognised as one session.
These recordings can be replayed as a reconstruction of a session. That is the point of the product, and it is why we ask before running it rather than after.
When it runs, and why that differs by country
In the EU, EEA and UK, nothing loads until you accept. That is what the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive require: analytics storage on your device needs prior consent, silence does not count as agreement, and declining must be exactly as easy as accepting. Decline and the tag is never fetched at all.
Everywhere else, analytics runs by default and you are told on arrival, with a control to switch it off. Which rulebook applies is decided from your browser's own timezone, and it fails toward the stricter one: if we cannot place you, you get the EU treatment.
We honour Global Privacy Control and the older Do Not Track setting. If your browser sends either, analytics is treated as refused and you are not asked again. An explicit choice you make here or in Settings overrides that signal, in whichever direction you set it.
Your choice
This is the current setting for this browser. Consent is stored per device, in this browser's local storage, because it governs what may be stored on this device. Changing it on your laptop does not change it on your phone.

Turning analytics off clears the _cs cookies and reloads the page so nothing further is recorded. You can also change this any time under Settings → Privacy. We re-ask once a year.
